  • Common appeal for release of leaders of the CP of Sudan

    Common appeal by communist and workers' parties in solidarity with the working people of Sudan demanding the immedate release of the leaders of the CP of Sudan and all political detainees.

    The persecutions by the government of Sudan towards the political opposition including leaders of the CP of Sudan, which had mobilised the people against economic conditions, meets  international reaction by communist and workers’ parties in solidarity with the people of Sudan.

  • Communist Party replies to Trump’s State of the Union

    John Bachtell, national chairman of the Communist Party USA, will reply to Trump’s State of the Union on Facebook Live, Tuesday January 30th. The program will begin immediately following Trump’s speech.

    “Our address will be a working-class and peoples response to Trump” said Bachtell. “From the threat of nuclear war to the denial of climate change, Trump’s policies are literally threatening our lives.”

  • MK Odeh on Baseless Polish Law: »The Holocaust Cannot Be Denied«

    On Friday, January 26, the Polish parliament approved a controversial law forbidding any mention of participation of the “Polish nation” in crimes committed during the Holocaust.

    The law also forbids use of the term “Polish death camp” to describe the compounds where Jews and others were murdered in Nazi-occupied Poland during the Second World War. Anyone who violates the new law, including non-Polish citizens, will be liable to a fine or imprisonment of up to three years.

  • Protests against anti-communist persecution of the Communist Party of Poland continue

    Despite of mass protests against political persecution of the Communist Party of Poland the Polish authorities continue to pursue anti-communist policy aimed at a total ban of Party’s functioning in the country.

    As an action of protest in support of Polish Communists on January 22, 2018 Moscow and St. Petersburg CPRF branches arranged pickets in front of Polish Consulates in the cities.

  • 7,000 Hizma Residents Collectively Punished by Restricted Access

    For more than a week, the Israeli military has been severely restricting access to and from the Palestinian village of Hizma in the West Bank, apparently in response to stone-throwing along a nearby road. Soldiers have been deployed at all entrances to the village, and physical roadblocks have been put in place barring vehicular access.

    The Communist Party of Israel (CPI) has condemned and denounced as unacceptable the conviction of the General Secretary of the Communist Party of Turkey (TKP), Kemal Okuyan, by the Turkish courts to 11 months and 20 days in prison on the pretext that, in an article he wrote, “he insulted the President of Turkey, Erdogan.

  • Bill Will Place Civilian Authority over Academic Institutions in OPT

    The Knesset Education, Sports and Culture Committee approved on Wednesday, January 24, the first reading of a bill that would grant the Council for Higher Education authority over higher “academic” institutions located in Israeli settlements in the Occupied Palestinian Territories (OPT). The bill was initiated by committee chairman MK Ya’acov Margi (Shas) and MK Shuli Moalem-Refaeli (HaBayit HaYehudi).It passed by a vote of nine to five.

    The Central Secretariat of the Communist Party of India (CPI) issued following statement to the press:

    The Central Secretariat of the Communist Party of India vehemently condemns series of attacks took place in various places of North and West India. Every where these acts of vandalism by communal elements were unleashed in the name of protest against the movie Padmavat.

    In some places it went to the extent of torching of buses and blocking of highways. They didn't spare even school students from being attacked.

  • MK Khenin: Gov’t’s Deportation Plan Intends to Place People Who Seek Asylum Here in Mortal Peril

    The Rwandan government denied on Tuesday, January 23, the existence of a secret deal to receive African asylum-seekers forcibly deported from Israel. The far-right Israeli government informed Israel’s Supreme Court about the agreement with Rwanda in November, after the approval by the Knesset of an amendment to the Prevention of Infiltration Law, which stipulated that African refugees and asylum seekers will either be deported to Rwanda or imprisoned.

    Communists have strong opinions as everybody knows. I often joke if you ask a group of communists to agree where to go for dinner, you’ll get different recommendations from each one, passionately argue, never agree and end up starving.

    So it shouldn’t come as a surprise over 500 members responded to the first ever Communist Party USA membership survey over the fall of 2017 and many have strong opinions about the organization.

  • Holocaust Survivors against the Deportation of African Refugees

    Survivors of the Holocaust who live in Israel have joined calls against the deportation from the country of African asylum seekers. Speaking to the daily newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth, some of these survivors have suggested that they bear a responsibility to emulate the behavior of the “Righteous among the Nations,” Gentiles who risked their lives to save Jews from deportation to Nazi concentration camps during the Second World War.

  • Russian Communist Workers Party: Hands off Syria!

    Whatever reason the AKP government and its leader who desires “to perform his pray in Damascus” state for todays operation, it serves the imperialist plans which aim to divide Syria for various interests. Syria must be cleared of imperialist projects, interest conflicts between big powers and the fundamentalist powers of the region.

    It is the Syrian people who will do this.

    After being drawn into a civil war which was triggered by the imperialist projects and activated almost all the reactionary veins of the region, Syria now is turned into an arena for the bloody games of the powers of the region, large and small.

    The protests of tens of thousands in Iran against the policies of the theocratic regime weeks ago faced the the brutality of the security forces.

     Following the uprising, the regime started a harsh wave of persecution against the protestors to intimidate the anger against the regime, especially using 'foreign meddling' as a pretext.

    A common appeal of communist and workers’ parties was issued on 19 January with the title, ‘We stand in solidarity with Iranian people, and against any foreign intervention in the internal affairs of Iran’. The parties signing the appeal are being updated.

  • Joint List MKs to Boycott Today’s Knesset Address by US VP Pence

    The 13 MKs of the Joint List will not attend the address to be delivered today (Monday, January 22) before the Knesset by US Vice President Mike Pence, faction Chairman Hadash MK Ayman Odeh announced Saturday on Twitter. In a tweet, Odeh called Pence dangerous because of his “messianic vision that includes the destruction of the entire region” and said his entire parliamentary bloc, which holds 13 seats in the Knesset, will shun Pence’s address.
