During his speech this Thursday at the Biennial Panel on Unilateral Coercive Measures and Human Rights that took place at the UN-Geneva, in the framework of its 42nd session; Foreign Minister Jorge Arreaza announced that this is part of the preparatory work that will lead the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) to “prepare a United Nations Declaration on the negative impact of unilateral coercive measures on the enjoyment of human rights and to the development of the attacked nations”.

In his speech he recalled that the UN Human Rights Council has given a mandate to the Special Rapporteur on Unilateral Coercive Measures, Idriss Jazairy, to identify and propose measures that guarantee the withdrawal of unilateral coercive measures to the peoples and States to which have been imposed.

The People’s Power Minister for Foreign Relations, Jorge Arreaza, said that the Venezuelan government, unlike Colombia, will demonstrate, with reliable and irrefutable evidence before the General Assembly of the United Nations Organization (UN), the manufacture of guerrilla acts in Colombian territory to assault Venezuela.

“We will bring irrefutable information to the UN, not absurd elucubrations like those presented by Colombia. We will demonstrate with locations, coordinates, photographs, testimonials, dates and names, ”wrote the Foreign Minister through his Twitter account @jarreaza.

In an interview with the international news agency EFE, the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, Michelle Bachelet, negatively described the latest sanctions imposed by the US government on the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.

“The sanctions have been hard, too broad and if they harden even more, the only thing left to wait is unfortunately more migration, because poverty is going to be exacerbated”, she said.

Through the electronic channels of the Peopl’es Power Ministry for Foreign Relations, this Friday, the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela began implementing measures to guide and facilitate the processing of civil and consular documents to Venezuelans residing in the United States.

The Executive Vice-president of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, requested the Public Ministry (MP) to undertake a thorough investigation against the deputy to the National Assembly in contempt, Juan Guaidó, for being allegedly involved in plans to deliver the Venezuelan Essequibo to foreign interests.

“We hope that the Public Prosecutor’s Office and that the Attorney General’s Office act against the members of this transnational criminal organization”, she said in statements offered by the Vice-presidency in Caracas.

Jair Bolsonaro’s Government gave another dangerous step in his offensive against Venezuela by presenting, at the UN, a draft resolution that calls for an international inquiry into our neighboring and sister country. The petition is also endorsed by Argentina, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Guatemala and Peru.

The request makes false accusations based in denunciations from the US State Department, its espionage and interference agencies, and in testimonies made by the most stubborn sectors in Venezuela’s opposition, who see in the coup d’état and the external aggression against their own country the means to overthrow the legitimate and constitutional President Nicolás Maduro.

The Head of State explained that the Colombian government, led by Iván Duque, “wants to accuse Venezuela of being the cause of a war that is 70 years old in Colombia”, in reference to the unfounded accusations about links of his Government with the FARC dissent.

“The current government of Colombia does not want peace, it wants war and we regret it”, said President Maduro, while stressing that from Caracas, the guarantor countries of the peace agreement have been requested to seek mechanisms to put aside the violence.

On an official visit to the Republic of Guinea Conakry, the Vice-minister for Africa of the Peopple’s Power Ministry for Foreign Relations, Yuri Pimentel, in the company of Ambassador Alejandro Correa, held working meetings with high government authorities to review the progress of the framework agreement cooperation and strengthen areas of common interest.

With the Minister of Hydrocarbons, Diakaria Koulibaly, they reviewed the possibilities to develop specific aspects of the framework agreement for cooperation in energy resources. Minister Koulibaly expressed his satisfaction at the visit and provided the areas of interest to formalize the activation of cooperation.

In reference to a message published by Executive Vice-president Delcy Rodríguez Gómez, through her Twitter account @DrodriguezVen, the People’s Power Minister for Foreign Relations, Jorge Arreaza, confirmed that they will present the evidence to the United Nations Organization (UN) that corroborate the support that the president of Colombia, Iván Duque, offers to terrorist groups with the intention of provoking acts of violence in Venezuela.

In his Twitter account @jaarreaza, the Venezuelan Foreign Minister denounced that this protection of the Colombian president to irregular groups violates Resolution 1,373 of the UN Security Council.

From the press room “Simón Bolívar” of the Miraflores Palace, the Vice-president of Communication, Culture and Tourism, Jorge Rodríguez, showed on Saturday new evidence of terrorist actions that Colombia was preparing against Venezuela.

Thanks to the help of the Venezuelan population, who wants to live in peace, on August 17, members of the People’s Power realized that there were suspicious bags thrown in the vicinity of block 40 of the 23 de Enero buildings and proceeded to alert the authorities to initiate the respective investigations.

The Portuguese Council for Peace and Cooperation (CPPC) firmly repudiates the statements by the Minister for Foreign Affairs, Augusto Santos Silva, which constitute a direct threat upon the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and an unacceptable interference in the internal affairs of a sovereign country.

By threatening foreign military intervention in the South American country unless elections are held, the Portuguese minister shamefully associates the name of Portugal with those who seek, at all cost, to overthrown the legitimate government of Venezuela to then invert the political, economic, social and cultural achievements of the last 20 years by the Bolivarian Revolution and place the country’s natural resource in the hands of foreign interests, in particular the US.
